Our objective is to provide innovative design techniques in the execution of all projects. Philips’ commitment to technology is underscored by our implementation of computer techniques in the early 1970’s, CADD and Total Station design software in the 1980’s, and GIS and Database systems in the 1990’s.

The firm of Philips Engineering Ltd. is a continuation of the practice of Philips and Roberts Ltd. and J.M. Tomlinson and Associates dating back to 1946. The firm developed a specialization in the provision of civil engineering consulting services to municipalities, conservation authorities and private enterprise.

The late 1960’s brought a new dimension to our services. We became Philips Planning and Engineering Ltd. Then, through the 1980’s, we joined forces with Miller O’Dell Planning, Svedas Koyanagi Architects and Cartologix Corporation to compliment our engineering base. This beneficial alliance continued until the late 1990’s when the decision was made to return to our Engineering roots.

Our name change to Philips Engineering Ltd., in 1999 reflects this shift in emphasis.

Philips Engineering Ltd. has historically provided civil engineering services to a wide range of clients in the Golden Horseshoe Area. The client base includes various ministries of the Ontario Government, large urban Municipalities, small rural Municipalities, Regions, Counties and private developers. A high degree of technical expertise is provided to all and our pride in the provision of a quality product is evident.
